Method and sources
Guides are written to a fixed checklist: the answer comes first, the advice is general and widely used, safety notes appear wherever heat, dye, glue, scissors or skin products are involved, and there are no prices, brand claims or statistics.
What the guides rely on
- The care label inside the garment, and the instructions printed on any dye, paint, vinyl or iron-on product. When these differ from a guide, they win.
- Your school's own dress code and event rules, which vary and change.
- The size chart that comes with the shirt you are buying; sizes differ between makers.
The outfit board
Brightness contrast is computed with the standard relative-luminance formula used for web accessibility, from the hex value of each color. The three looks are templates that place your base color and accent color on a top, bottoms and accessories. They are suggestions, not rules.
